Main objective of the programme 

The Erasmus+ programme for higher education contributes to the development of European higher education through several objectives including:

  • Improving the quality and strengthening the European aspect of higher education;
  • Increased mobility of students, teachers and university staff;
  • Reinforcement of multilateral cooperation, transparency and recognition of the qualifications acquired.


Strategic partnerships (transnational cooperation) can support a very varied range of activities by addressing either a specific sector or several sectors of education, training and youth initiatives.
