Participate in a 3-days conference from 13 to 15 October 2021 to discover 4 years of work by the Interreg NWE projects CANAPE and CARBON CONNECTS.
Carbon Connects promotes an alternative type of agriculture for wetlands, one which can sequester carbon through practices such as: raising the water table beneath the peatland and starting new types of crops or livestock farming. It will also introduce new bio-based business models developed for sustainable land management practices. They will be tested on pilot sites throughout North-West Europe.
This event will be the final conference of 4 years of projects between CANAPE and Carbon Connect and will present the thematic of peatland restoration and management for a sustainable future. More exactly, the event will be on three aspects:
