ALG-AD exhibition at Derval experimental farm (FR) presented at AC3A General Assembly to 27 presidents and directors of Chambers of Agriculture part of the network

On 8th October 2020, AC3A brought together its members – representatives of the Chambers of Agriculture – for its Annual General Assembly. At the heart of the discussions: innovation, with a focus on several European projects including ALG-AD project dedicated to the cultivation of microalgae grown on digestate.

Marc Fougère, Head of the service of experimental farms at the Regional Chamber of Agriculture of Pays de la Loire, presented the exhibition that will host on the Derval site. Through presentation panels, a photo exhibition and an audioguide, the Derval site will offer to visitors a 360-degree view of the project.

After an introduction to anaerobic digestion and microalgae, the photo exhibition will show the step by step process of microalgae cultivation, from the purification of the digestate to harvesting and valorisation. Visitors will also be able to listen to an audioguide as they dive into the depths of this innovative project and world of microalgae.  

The ALG-AD exhibition in Derval will be inaugurated in November 2020, it will be also be entirely accessible online, via an app and available in French and English.
