Students from UniLaSalle Rouen and the Ecole nationale supérieure d’architecture de Normandie gathered on 13 December 2024 for a hackathon organised by the SCALE-UP project. The challenge: to pitch their idea for an innovative project involving bio-based materials for applications in the building sector. Supervised by 13 teachers and experts, the students came up with their own ideas: window seals made from hemp, privacy screens made from apple pomace, soundproofing panels made from mycelium or ceiling tiles made from grass… the two winning projects will continue their work at AgreenStartUp.
