The cluster 5 of Pillar 2 – Climate, Energy and Mobility, covers energy systems and grids, energy supply, and energy storage among other areas. The mission is:

• Adaptation to Climate Change. Focusing on improving knowledge, helping regions and EU communities to better understand climate risks and prepare for a changing climate, and co-designing solutions involving citizens and local stakeholders.

The cluster 6 of Pillar 2 – Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment, focuses in particular on food and circular systems, bio-based innovation systems in in EU’s bioeconomy, biodiversity, natural resources and agriculture.  The mission is:

• Soil health and food. By developing a harmonised framework for soil monitoring in Europe, notably through an ambitious research and innovation programme, with the goal of making 75% of EU soils healthy to support essential ecosystem services.
