ALG-AD decision support tools and virtual exhibition audioguide now available

On 7 April 2022, the Birmingham City University team took part in a webinar to demonstrate the decision support tools (DST) developed as part of the Interreg North-West Europe project ALG-AD. These online tools are developed for companies, farmers, researchers and any stakeholder interested in the anaerobic digestion (AD) and microalgae integrated research conducted as part of the project.

Available at https://www.alg-ad-dst.com/, the DST allow users to access different interactive and evolving tools:

  • A map search tool to locate the anaerobic digestion units listed in the North-West Europe area;
  • A document and resources search tool giving access to all the deliverables of the ALG-AD project, as well as to publications on various subjects related to algae, AD, available technologies and current regulations;
  • A stakeholder search tool referencing numerous actors in the AD and algae sectors;
  • A process pathway tool to evaluate the viability of a photobioreactor installation project according to the particularities of your AD unit and your requirements.

The website also hosts the audioguide of the ALG-AD exhibition, physically installed on the Derval experimental farm in France and available online in the form of a virtual tour. This immersive exhibition offers several tours to discover microalgae, its potential and the innovations explored by the ALG-AD project.
