Webinar | Microalgae, digestion & fermentation: ALG-AD pilot site in Brittany

Thursday, April 8, 2021 was the fourth episode of our webinar cycle on the ALG-AD project, on the theme of microalgae, digestion and fermentation.

To address the subject we were accompanied by Luc Chauchat, study engineer at the CNRS, and Denis de la Broise, lecturer at the Université de Bretagne Occidentale. Both are researchers at the ALG-AD pilot site in Lamballe, Brittany, which has, among other things, the particularity of heterotrophically cultivating the microalga Aurantiochytrium mangrovei. We discovered the backstage of this site and the work carried out there.

We were also accompanied by Sylvain Carcelle, Business Development Manager at Bioréa, a subsidiary of the Agrial group, who presented his expertise in fermentation as well as his innovative and patented air-lift bioreactor technology. We then discovered the Bioréa site through a presentation film.

You can find the replay of the show with each intervention on our website and Youtube.
